Lymington's women's squad is currently one of the most successful teams for ladies racing in the HDARA at the moment.
The squad has secured five championships since 2010 and a runner's up spot in the first ever Junior Pair's championship.
However, despite being Lymington's most successful group at the moment, the club didn't actually win a women's championship until 2010. The crew of Laura Lock, Charlotte Batt, Erin Oliver and Kasia Koniec would go nine races unbeaten before adding the SCC title to their HDARA with victory at Wimbleball in September.
The next championship glory followed for the women in 2012 where Lock, Koniec, Oliver and Sarah Inskip beat Southampton to the Women's Senior Fours title, the first senior championship for Lymington in our history.
When Itchen's dominance over the pairs competitions began to end in 2015, Lymington was among the crews waiting in the wings.
Livvi Bull & Lucy Taylor had been racing Junior Pair races since 2013 and had enjoyed success, although the competition was only a "fun" race hosted at some regattas.
However, in 2015 the first ever HDARA Junior Pairs championship took place and Bull & Taylor would finish the season as runner's up, before winning the title themselves in 2016.
Bull would then team up with Katie Martin for 2017 in the senior division where the pair held off a strong Coalporters crew to claim a 5-2 score and LARC's first Ladies Senior Pairs title.
The club also won the Ladies Novice Fours championship in 2015 to add to our success.
In 2018, Bull is starting to prepare an attempt for her third championship as her single sculling goes from strength-to-strength but the future of women's rowing looks extremely bright within the club as a number of talented juniors are ready to step up to the adult sections in the next couple of seasons.
